About The Ministry

 Milk and Hunni is based on Acts 2:42-47 TPT, “Every believer was faithfully devoted to following the teachings of the apostles. Their hearts were mutually linked to one another, sharing communion and coming together regularly for prayer. A deep sense of holy awe swept over everyone, and the apostles performed many miraculous signs and wonders. All the believers were in fellowship as one body, and they shared with one another whatever they had. Out of generosity they even sold their assets to distribute the proceeds to those who were in need among them. Daily they met together in the temple courts and in one another’s homes to celebrate communion. They shared meals together with joyful hearts and tender humility. They were continually filled with praises to God, enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord kept adding to their number daily those who were coming to life.”  

 We chose the name Milk and Hunni while reading, Deuteronomy 26:9 “He brought us to this place and gave us this land, a land flowing with milk and honey”. We know God brought us to this place, gave us this land, this home and this ministry. In the scriptures, when the phrase “a land flowing with milk and honey” is used, it is describing Israel's abundant fertility. In other words, it's a phrase that describes a place that is good for conceiving and creating God’s children. There is nothing we want more than to provide a vessel for God to conceive, create, grow and mature His children. We are blessed with the opportunity and give all praise to the Lord for this ministry.  

We lock arms as we seek to faithfully devote ourselves to God. It is a process, as we are broken and needy people. We study His word and practice life application together as a family. There is something so special to study God’s commands together and then leave actually knowing the first couple steps to take with all we’ve just learned. We join together and push our boundaries with prayer and worship. Our favorite concept is discomfort because we love the way God provides the most spiritual growth in this discomfort. We combine our resources to give back to our community and those in need. We break bread and practice transparency. Tears are shed, belly laughs explode out of us and hugs are a must. Biblical truth is our focus and everyone is boldly encouraged to live out what they learn. We make mistakes, regularly, and then we learn..together. And it’s all done in a living room, on 3 beat up couches. It is not fancy or elaborate. It is a group of people from all different walks of life, seeking the same marvelous Savior. But nonetheless, God is always present, always transforming our hearts and always pursuing us in the most stunning way possible.
